Cynthia Nugent
Cynthia Nugent is an award-winning children’s book author and illustrator whose first book, Mister Got to Go, is now considered a Canadian classic. She studied at the University of Alberta. Her art work has been exhibited in Canada and several other countries. In order to illustrate Mr. Gotto Go, the artist stayed in the Hotel Sylvia where she positioned herself on a balcony, trying to get the point of view of a cat fighting with a raccoon. Cynthia lives in Vancouver with Emma the Yorkshire terrier who was the model for Arnie in Mister Got to Goand Arnie.
