Orlando Araujo

Was born in Venezuela in 1928. He studied Economy and Literature at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where he later became a professor and director of the Literature School. His diverse work as a writer and journalist, essay writer and literary critic, gained him important recognition and prizes, among them the Premio Nacional de Literatura in 1974. He died in 1987.
