Mary França

Born in Minas de Gerais, Brasil, where she studied to be a teacher. Along with her husband, Eliardo, she has written more than 140 children’s books. Their books are translated to many languages and selled around the world. According to her, ‘it’s a great pleasure to choose the words, play with the music and find the rythm on the text, to sharp imagination on other people, make someone laugh or cry; for writing is an approachment to the joy of creation’. Mary’s books are playful and are commonly used in schools. In the present she lives with her husband, sons and grandsons in Juiz de Fora.
