Randall Jarrell

(Nashville, 1914 – Chapel Hill, 1965). Fue escritor y crítico literario, profesor universitario y traductor. Entre sus traducciones, figuran obras de Rilke, Chéjov o los hermanos Grimm. En 1961 obtuvo el Premio Nacional del Libro por el poemario ‘The Woman at the Washington Zoo’. Su última novela fue ‘La familia animal’.
