Martijn van der Linden

Born in Zeeland, Netherlands, in 1979. He studied arts in the Willem de Kooning Academie, in Rotterdam, where he specialized in illustration. Soon he began to work as an editorial designer and illustrator for children’s books. In 2016 he won the Woutertje Pieterse Award for best children’s book with Stem op de okapi, in collaboration with the writer Edward van de Vendel. He has participated as jury in numerous contests, including the Max Velthuijs Children’s Book Award.
