Leo Lionni


Born in the Netherlands in 1910 and spent his early childhood in Europe. After receiving a Doctorate in Economics he decided to become a Graphic Designer. In 1935 he moved to New York, where he worked as Art Director of various corporations and was appointed head of the Department of Graphic Design at the Parsons School. He was awarded with the Gold Medal of the North American Institute of Graphic Design for his contribution to Graphic Art.
