David Small

Grew up in Detroit, studied Art and English at Wayne State University, and went on to complete graduate studies in Art at Yale. He worked as art professor in various universities for 14 years. He has created many best-selling collaborations with his wife Sarah Stewart including The Gardener, a Caldecott Honor Book. Sarah and David live in Michigan with Simon and Otis, their dog and cat.
