Bolormaa Baasansuren

Graduate from the Culture and Fine Arts University of Mongolia. She has made numerous illustrations for Mongolian tale books and textbooks. In 2004 she won the first place in the 10th Illustrated Book Contest, from the Popular Culture Festival in the city of Joyo, Fukuoka province. Later in 2005, she also won first place, in the Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations. Her books have been published in Japan, Mongolia and Canada. She arrived in Japan in 2008 to study. Since she graduated, she collaborates with her husband, Ichinnorov Ganbaatar, in the making of combined works. She currently lives in the Saitama province.
