Taeeun Yoo


Born in Korea, she grew up in Seoul in his grandfather’s beautiful house. She was raised by a traditional Korean family, between her gandfather’s bonsai trees and orchids, while watching her great-grandmother make traditional Korean suits. She studied Korean brush in Hong Ik University, in South Korea, and later on moved to New York to take the illustration postgraduate course offered by the School of Visual Arts. Her first illustrated book, The Little Red Fish, won the Founders Award given by the Illustrators Society. She has received two New York Times Award for Best Illustrated Book. Nowadays, she lives between Seoul and New York.
