Ekaré distributes several high quality childrens books imprints in Venezuela. The selection process is rigorous, and in accordance with the criteria for excellence recommended by the Banco del Libro.
Imprint s distributed:
Grupo Editorial SM : Spanish publisher with more than 50 years experience in text books and other school materials. Offers fiction and nonfiction from preschool to high school ages. Its most popular series is Barco de Vapor, stories and fiction in various collections color coded for different ages and reading abilities. In non fiction Mundo Maravilloso (Wonders of the World) and the Interactive Library are the most sought after.
Ediciones Serres: From Spain. Wonderful and funny picture books, beautifully illustrated. Specially for babies and very young children. They are the publishers of the famous Maisy series. Their collection of books about famous painters for older readers stands out. They also offer titles on subjects like sexuality and birth presented in a clear and attractive form, without loosing the scientific viewpoint.
Ediciones Kókinos: From Spain. Large format picture books beautifully illustrated by famous authors.
Ediciones Media Vaca: From Spain. Fascinating, sophisticated and daringly designed books for children from 7 to 77 years of age. “ If you don’t understand everything in them what does it matter” comments its editor Vicente Ferrer.Lectorum: Excellent translations into Spanish of some of the classic titles in United States children’s books history, such as Dr. Seus’s “The Cat in the Hat”.
